A shadow darted through the forest, gaining speed as it went, swerving around trees and other various materials found in the forest. It fled on silent black mitts that carried its large black body. Panting the brute started to slow, its massive frame heaved with its staggered breathing. As he tried to catch his breath, his deep blue optics scanned over the area for signs of other wolves.
As he spotted them his eyes twinkled with their brilliance. The blue was as beautiful as the ocean, and all hues were present, from the light blue tide pools, to the deep dark blue of the greatest ocean trench. But like the ocean, there was torment in those eyes. Although the brute抯 face was a mask, and displayed no emotion on his strong fine features, his thoughts were clear through his eyes.
He dropped his head and shook out his pelt, before closing his eyes and throwing back his maw to let out a magnificent howl that reached the far corners of the sky. The cry rose, swelling, filling the air and hanging on a single note until the sky seemed it would break, then it changed notes, displaying a wide variety that was equal to music itself.
